Doubling as both a waterproof rain jacket and an emergency solo shelter, the Sierra Designs Storm Poncho is a weight-saver for ounce-counting hikers and backpackers. For the less adventurous, the Storm Poncho is, at the very least, an excellent emergency-preparedness piece for your pack or the trunk of your car.
Nylon construction with fully taped, PVC- free seams enables the Storm Poncho to shed rain and keep you dry. A roomy cut allows you to wear the Storm Poncho over top of multiple layers and snaps along the sides provide secure coverage when it's needed and excellent venting in warmer weather. A helmet compatible, adjustable hood keeps your head dry and a neck opening with Velcro hook-and-loop closures allows you to adjust the Storm Poncho for varying weather conditions.
Corner grommets let you pitch the Storm Poncho as a lightweight, emergency shelter. NOTE: Guy-lines and a trekking pole (both sold separately) are required to effectively pitch the Storm Poncho.
