For over two decades, the Meteor Light has remained a staple of the Sierra Designs tent line. Though technological advances have improved the tent along the way, the Meteor Light has stayed true to its original intentions of delivering ease of set up, spaciousness and livability. The Meteor Light 2 has ample room for two or can serve as an especially roomy 1 person, 3-season backpacking tent.

The Meteor Light 2 offers 35.5 square feet of usable interior space. Dual doors grant convenient access while front and rear vestibules provide 18 and 9 square feet, respectively, of additional sheltered space for storing gear outside of the main tent body. Large, stashable doors zip open almost entirely for maximum ventilation.

DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles offer sturdy, freestanding support without adding much weight to your pack. The hubbed design makes set up easy and enables two poles to do the job of 3 poles. This design also improves the verticality of the side walls to maximize the roominess of the Meteor Light 2.

A dye-free optic white canopy enhances the livability of the interior of the Meteor Light 2 by effectively transmitting natural light. This feature really shines on long, rainy days spent inside the shelter of your tent. Environmentally-friendly PVC-free seam tape protects the interior of the Meteor Light 2 from moisture and precipitation. The patented SuperSeal Floor features raised, taped perimeter seams to provide a tight pitch and a waterproof guarantee.

A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) is available to further protect the floor of your Meteor Light 2 from mud, ground water and sharp objects such as rocks and pine needles. The footprint can also be used directly with the tent fly for a light-and-fast warm weather backpacking shelter. By leaving the tent body at home, you can reduce the packed weight of the Meteor Light 2 to just 4 pounds 2 ounces.
