The Sierra Designs Men’s DriDown Capiz Jacket features treated 600-fill goose down insulation to serve up attractive warmth for aerobic activities and around town use in a variety of cool weather conditions.
Due to the high loft and extreme compressibility of the 600-fill power goose down, the DriDown Capiz Jacket can be packed down small and easily stowed in a pack. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel, and despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one inherent weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet, but DriDown performs differently. Employing a unique, innovative polymer application, DriDown actually creates a hydrophobic finish on each individual plume of down. This treatment results in insulation that stays dry 10 times longer and dries 33% faster than untreated down jackets. Perhaps most impressively, this allows the insulation to retain 98% of its loft which translates into maintained warmth that untreated down jackets simply cannot achieve.
Other features of the DriDown Capiz Jacket include a stretch-knit gusset under the arms and on the sides for a flexible fit, durable outer fabric with a dynamic quilt/baffle design, and a drop-tail hem. Two zippered hand warmer pockets are ready to warm chilly hands.
With a slim fit for ease of movement and layering, the Sierra Designs Men’s DriDown Capiz Jacket is available in your choice of color and size.
