New for 2009! The freestanding Sierra Designs Lightning XT 4 is a roomy, lightweight backpacking/camping tent. Collectively, the Lightning XT 4’s innovative Tunnel Dome design, dual doors and twin vestibules help to maximize livability.
The Lightning XT 4 has 57.5 sq. ft. of interior space. A large front vestibule offers 17.5 sq ft of exterior shelter while a rear vestibule provides an additional 10 sq ft! Sewn-in interior pockets help you free up floor space.
DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles grant the Lightning XT 4 lightweight freestanding support and stability. A unique Swivel Hub design increases the verticality of the Lightning XT 4’s sidewalls and, as a result, improves the feeling of livability within the tent. Sturdy, streamlined Ultralight Clips help to keep trail weight to a minimum. Reflective guy lines help to further secure the Lightning XT 4 and provide visibility when returning to your tent after dark.
The Lightning XT 4’s SuperSeal Floor has a raised, taped perimeter that maintains a tight pitch and guarantees waterproof protection. Environmentally-friendly PVC-free seam tape protects the interior of the Lightning XT 4 from moisture and precipitation. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) is available to further protect the floor of your Lightning XT 4 from mud, ground water and sharp objects such as rocks and pine needles.
