The freestanding Sierra Designs Lightning HT 2 is a lightweight and roomy two person tent that is a breeze to set up and take down. Dual D-doors and vestibules help to maximize backcountry livability.
The Lightning HT 2 has 28.5 square feet of interior space. A larger front vestibule offers 6.75 square feet of exterior shelter while a rear vestibule provides an additional 6.5 square feet; a perfect spot for wet boots and packs. Hanging, interior pockets help to free up floor space by giving you a place to stow smaller items like a headlamp.
Three DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles grant the Lightning HT 2 lightweight freestanding support and stability. A unique Swivel Hub design increases the verticality of the Lightning HT 2's sidewalls and, as a result, improves the feeling of livability within the tent. Sturdy, streamlined Ultralight Clips help to keep trail weight to a minimum. Reflective guy lines help to further secure the Lightning HT 2 and provide visibility when returning to your tent after dark.
The Lightning HT 2's SuperSeal Floor has a raised, taped perimeter that maintains a tight pitch and guarantees waterproof protection. Environmentally-friendly PVC-free seam tape protects the interior of the Lightning HT 2 from moisture and precipitation and a full coverage, seam-taped fly with a vent keeps the entire tent dry while offering some air flow.
A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) is available to further protect the floor of your Lightning HT 2 from mud, ground water and sharp objects such as rocks and roots.
