New for 2013! The Sierra Designs Flash 2 Tent is a lightweight, roomy, freestanding, external pitch tent that provides ventilated refuge in a matter of seconds. Two doors and two vestibules provide easy access to your gear, while steep walls give an open feel when you’re inside.
The Flash 2 offers 29.5 square feet of usable interior space, making it comfortable for two people and roomy for one. Dual vestibules combine to provide an additional 16.5 square feet of sheltered space for stashing gear or wet, muddy boots.
When wet weather threatens, the quick, external pitch set up provides a dry, well-ventilated space in a matter of seconds, while the reflective door trim and guy outs make finding your tent in the dark an easy task.
The hybrid design of the Flash 2 adds stability without weight, while ultralight clips, DAC Featherlite NSL poles, Jake’s foot pole attachments, and ultralight D-shaped doors also help keep the packed weight down to an impressive 4 lb. 6 oz. and the average trail weight at 3 lb. 15 oz.
Ample mesh on the tent body and two large doors maximizes cross ventilation and provide circulation to fight condensation build-up. Coated with waterproof polyurethane, the rip-stop nylon floor and rainfly are lightweight and durable. The rainfly also has dual vents to create internal air flow and limit condensation. All of the Flash 2’s seams are tape-sealed to further protect the tent from the elements.
A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Sierra Designs Flash 2 against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water.
