New for 2008! Whether you're headed to the Himalayas or simply in need of a reliable 4-season tent, the Sierra Designs Convert 2 is up to the task. Incredibly sturdy and equipped with waterproof, breathable fabrics, the Convert 2 offers safe, secure shelter from the worst of winter and alpine conditions.

Designed for two, the Convert 2 offers 29 sq. ft. of usable interior space. A vestibule provides 12 sq. ft. of additional sheltered storage space outside of the main tent body. The strength of the vestibule is bolstered by a dedicated vestibule pole. For fast-moving summit assaults, the vestibule can be removed entirely to reduce the weight of the Convert 2.

To fend off winter wind and weather, the Convert 2's DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles slip through external feeds and run through internal pole sleeves. This design allows users to begin tent setup externally and then fully erect the tent within the protection of the interior of the Convert 2. Reflective guy lines help to further secure the Convert 2 and provide visibility when returning to your tent after dark.

The Convert 2 employs innovative Drizone fabric to offer full protection from the elements in a single-wall design. Completely waterproof and breathable, Drizone keeps moisture outside of the tent body while combating condensation build-up on the interior of the tent. Two large, protected roof vents allow further airflow and ventilation without allowing precipitation to sneak inside the Convert 2.

The Convert 2's fabrics have been treated with Sierra Designs Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh, ensuring protection against mold and mildew and extending the life of the tent. Environmentally-friendly PVC-free seam tape protects the interior of the Convert 2 from moisture and precipitation.

A compatible, custom-fit footprint, sold separately, can be used to further protect the floor of the Convert 2 from moisture, sharp objects, mud and ground water.
