Updated for 2008! Full of features, the Sierra Designs Antares 3 is a spacious, versatile and, best of all, affordable 3-season, 3-person tent. Sierra Designs increases the value of the Antares 3 by throwing in a compatible footprint, coffee sling and portable gear attic at no extra cost!

Designed to shelter three backpackers or campers, the Antares 3 offers a roomy 49 sq. ft. of usable interior space. Sewn-in pockets serve as interior gear hideaways and large dual vestibules provide an additional 24 sq. ft. of sheltered space for cooking or storing gear outside of the main tent body. A portable attic with a zippered pocket and sewn-in organizational dividers is included and allows you to store additional gear overhead and out of the way. The Antares 3 also comes with a coffee sling which suspends from the ceiling of the tent and enables you to keep your drink within easy reach without risking spills or transferring moisture to clothes and gear.

The Antares 3 employs Sierra Designs' ground-breaking Reverse Combi Technology to enhance the verticality of the tent walls, achieving a 45.5" peak height and maintaining that peak height over a greater area than most other tents. DAC Featherlite NSL aluminum poles offer sturdy, freestanding support without adding much weight to your pack. Reflective guy lines help to further secure the Antares and provide visibility when returning to your tent after dark. Two large stash doors allow for convenient access to the Antares 3 and provide excellent cross-ventilation.

A dye-free optic white canopy makes the interior of the Antares 3 more livable by transmitting natural light more effectively. This feature really shines on long, rainy days spent inside the shelter of your tent. The Antares 3's fabrics have been treated with Sierra Designs Tent Guard with Ultra Fresh, ensuring protection against mold and mildew and extending the life of the tent. Environmentally-friendly PVC-free seam tape protects the interior of the Antares 3 from moisture and precipitation.

If you want to travel even lighter, you can attach the compatible, custom-fit footprint (included) to the tent fly, eliminating the tent body for light and fast warm weather backpacking or camping. In this fast fly configuration, the Antares 3 weighs a mere 4 lb. 14 oz.
