Constructed of durable ballistic nylon, the Palisades Pack II Small's zippered low-profile saddlebags are designed to withstand the rigors of backcountry activity, provide 786 cubic inches of storage space and keep the load comfortably balanced. Large pockets on each saddlebag provide ample room for food, bowls, first aid supplies and other gear. Smaller zippered pockets on the top of each saddlebag are perfect for stashing treats or pick-up bags. Additional pockets on the outside of each saddlebag offer additional storage space and house innovative compression straps that allow you to easily adjust and secure the load within the Palisades Pack II Small, ensuring optimal weight distribution and maneuverability.

Eliminating the need for extraneous straps, a patented Web Master spider-web harness equips the Palisades Pack II Small with superior fit, load-carry stability and support. The shell of the harness is made of 500d nylon and the interior lining utilizes EVA closed-cell foam to cushion the weight and protect your dog from excessive rubbing and hot spots. Your dog is further protected from rub by a fleece-lined covering that wraps around the Palisades Pack II Small's woven straps. Reflective trim adds visibility and makes the Palisades Pack II Small easy to spot at night. A durable, sewn-in loop allows you to attach a lighting device or safety bell.

Ruff Wear's Rock Lockster side release buckles and sturdy Delrin hardware make the Palisades Pack II Small easy to take on and off and provide multiple adjustment points to ensure that your dog enjoys the best possible fit. The saddlebags can actually be quickly and easily disconnected from the harness, making it easier to make fitting adjustments, protect the contents of the saddlebags during water crossings and allow your dog to better enjoy rest stops without having to actually remove the harness. An integrated handle on the top of the Palisades Pack II Small allows you to easily carry the pack and serves as an assistance handle when your dog needs a helping hand for on-trail obstacles.

Another stand-out feature on the Palisades Pack II Small is the addition of built-in hydration systems on each of the saddlebags. These bladders allow your dog to carry up to a gallon of water (0.5 gallons per side) and, as an added bonus, they help to cushion your dog from the gear contained in the saddlebags and aid your dog in maintaining a cool body temperature!

The Ruff Wear Palisades Pack II Small is sized to fit a girth (measured around the widest part of the rib cage) of 18 to 30 inches and a minimum length (measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail) of 15.25 inches.
