The Princeton Tec EOS just might be the ideal lightweight multi-purpose headlamp. The EOS has 3 power settings (high, medium and low) and an emergency blinking mode. Each power setting provides true current regulation ensuring that the EOS will remain at constant brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage.
On high, the 1 watt LED is bright enough for night hikes. With alkaline batteries, run time on the high setting is 6.5 hours (2 hours at constant brightness).
If long battery life is your major concern, the low setting provides a run time of 60 hours (44 hours at constant brightness) and is bright enough for reading in your tent.
For setting up camp or cooking, the medium setting provides 12.5 hours of run time (9.5 hours at constant brightness).
The 3AAA battery footprint of the EOS provides a self-contained battery system that eliminates external wires. At only 3.7 oz. with batteries, the EOS is lightweight and compact.
Waterproof to 1 meter. Available in your choice of colors.
