New for 2009! With its rugged design and Maxbright Rebel LED bulb, the Princeton Tec Amp 4.0 flashlight is a reliable, no-nonsense option for backpacking and camping.

A powerful LED bulb produces a maximum brightness of 50 Lumens. At maximum output, the Amp 4.0 throws a beam of up to 246.1 feet. By selecting a shorter beam setting, you can maximize efficiency and increase burn time from 120 hours to 150 hours. The Amp 4.0’s regulated circuit ensures constant brightness throughout the life of your batteries (four Alkaline AA batteries are included).

The rugged, impact-resistant housing of the Amp 4.0 is completely waterproof to 1 meter. A rubber over-mold makes the housing grip-friendly. An integrated pass-through opening on the body of the Amp 4.0 allows you to utilize an included lanyard.

The Princeton Tec Amp 4.0 is available in your choice of Grey or Orange color options.

Likes: Brightness

Dislikes: The on-off switch is a terrible design. The flashlight goes on whenever one carries it in a pack, duffle bag or even when placed carefully in a hard-sided suit case. It even goes on when stored in a dresser drawer. Consequently, whenever one wants to use the AMP 4.0 the batteries are dead unless they were removed since the batteries discharge while in the light even though they have been reversed.
