New for 2009! With its rugged design and compact design, the Princeton Tec Amp 3.0 flashlight is a lightweight option for backpacking and camping. Despite weighing just 4.3 oz, the Amp 3.0 delivers reliable backcountry performance.

Four 5mm Ultrabright LED bulbs work in tandem to produce a maximum brightness of 40 Lumens. At maximum output, the Amp 3.0 throws a wide beam of light more than 98 feet in length. By selecting a shorter beam setting, you can maximize efficiency and increase burn time from 61 hours to 90 hours. The Amp requires 4 AAA Alkaline batteries (included).

The rugged, impact-resistant housing of the Amp 3.0 is completely waterproof to 1 meter. A rubber over-mold makes the housing grip-friendly. An integrated pass-through opening on the body of the Amp 3.0 allows you to utilize an included lanyard.

The Princeton Tec Amp 3.0 is available in your choice of Grey or Orange color options.

Likes: I now have 4 Princeton Tec LED lights and love them all.
They are durable and they conserve battery life like no others.
I have given up on Black Diamond and Petzl.
The Amp 3.0 is small, lightwieght, good in rain, virtually indestructable.
I dropped this down hard cellar stairs without problem.
I sends out a very bright flood.
Great light for backpacking or picking up dog poop at night.

Dislikes: Very minor quibble about the blueish tint to LED light.
