A great balance of performance and price, the affordable PowdeRidge Crest snowshoe is designed for winter day hiking. Easy-to-use bindings and durable construction make the Crest a value-packed snowshoe option.
The Crest snowshoe is available in three sizes. Measuring 8" x 25", the Crest-25 inch snowshoe is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 120-200 pounds. At 9" x 30" per shoe, the Crest-30 inch snowshoe is suitable for a total weight of 170-250 pounds and the 36 inch size (10" x 36" per shoe) supports a total weight of 220-300 pounds.
Double ratchet straps lend security and adjustability to the Crest's binding. A nylon heel strap provides further support and enhances fit. Full adjustability allows the Crest to accommodate a wide range of styles and sizes of footwear.
A rotating toe cord system enables the tail of the Crest to drop away from the binding as you hike, effectively shedding snow, reducing resistance and minimizing the fatigue associated with carrying the unnecessary weight of clinging snow.
Constructed of durable 6000 series aluminum, the frame of the Crest snowshoe is tapered to enhance balance, provide flotation and maintain a natural stride pattern. The carbon steel toe crampon and a built-in heel cleat combine to deliver solid traction on rolling terrain and descents. Durable material on the decking further improves flotation. NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.
