Product Highlights

The lightweight, flexible Platypus Hoser hydration system includes a reservoir, drinking tube and HyperFlow bite valve. Tough enough to stand up to freezing and boiling temperatures, it makes an ideal upgrade or replacement component for an existing hydration pack and instantly converts most backpacks into a hands-free hydration system.

The reservoir and the drinking tube of the Hoser feature Platypus’s SlimeGuard anti-microbial treatment to ensure a completely fresh and taste-free system. A screw-cap opening allows you to easily and efficiently fill the Hoser for use as an "in-the-pack" hydration system or as a reservoir for use at your campsite.

The Platypus Hoser hydration system is available in 1.0L (34 oz.), 1.8L (60 oz.), 2.0L (70 oz.) and 3.0L (100 oz.) size options.

Likes: My second Platypus. The first is still going strong, but wanted to pick up another for an extra for long hikes, or if my wife decides to come along! Everything about these are excellent. I'll continue to use these without a second thought on something else. Get one and keep hydrated!

Dislikes: Never an issue!

Likes: Have used this on many hikes now, and it has held up to having me laying on top of it after a fall, being thrown around in the pack, and many cycles of being filled and emptied. The bite valve has also held up well. A buddy I hike with has replaced three bladders of a competitive brand in the same timeframe. Do your self a favor and get one!

Dislikes: None

Likes: Good construction and the hyperflow bite valve works very well when on the trail.

Dislikes: Simple and functional, works great without problems.

Likes: Bite valve is the best going, and the water pressure is great (cap down in your pack). Watch the height difference if selecting a 2L over a 1.8L.

Dislikes: Nothing.
