Product Highlights

The Backcountry Edge 1.0L Platy Bottle has a flexible design that makes it more lightweight, easier to pack and more convenient to use than traditional hard-sided bottles. BPA-free construction is safe, taste-free and easy to refill.

Whether you use the bottle for backpacking, travel or everyday use, you’ll find that the collapsible design allows you to roll up the bottle for space-saving storage. In spite of its lightweight construction, the bottle is tough enough to hold up to extremely cold or hot temperatures. This allows you to put the bottle in the freezer or run it through the dishwasher.

A screw-top closure cap keeps the contents of the Backcountry Edge 1.0L Platy Bottle secure and protects against leaking.

Likes: Great bottles, lightweight and collapsible. One area I hunt we pack in 8 miles before filling up with water so they are great for stowing away in one pocket.

Dislikes: Nothing, so far. I would give 5 stars but I'm not sure on the durability yet.

Likes: Light weight water storage. (0.9 oz)

Dislikes: I'm not going to test it to failure, but I wonder if the cap would stand up to much abuse?

Likes: I like the platy bottles for the light weight and packability. So far, no leaks. Can be frozen and used as a makeshift ice pack for emergencies also. No funny plastic taste in my water, either.

    Dislikes: Nothing.

  • Michael V. kingston IL
    11/29/2012

Likes: Other than backcountryedge.com putting their logo on this, it is the older style 1 liter platypus bottle. It weighs in at .9 ounces and is amazingly durable. At this price, it is an absolute no brainer.

    Dislikes: nothing.

Likes: When full of water it’s very strong, I actually fell on it and no damage was incurred; when empty its light weight and fits anywhere.

    Dislikes: Nothing!
