Ideal for thru-hikers and ultra-light enthusiasts, the Petzl Zipka Plus 2 headlamp offers stand-out performance features while stripping away the extra ounces of a full wrap-around headband. Equipped with a large, high-output white LED bulb and a smaller red LED bulb, the multi-dimensional Tikka Plus 2 is ideal for any number of activities that demand the need for additional lighting. Housing a super-lightweight, rugged retractable Dyneema cord, the Zipka Plus 2 can be mounted over a helmet or worn directly on the head.
A large, user-friendly electronic push-button allows you to choose between the various lighting modes on the Zipka Plus 2. The white LED bulb produces a maximum brightness of 50 Lumens, sufficient to cast light up to nearly 115 feet. Two additional settings allow you to regulate the length of the beam, increasing efficiency and burn time in the process. The lowest, most economical setting on the Zipka Plus 2 increases burn time to a full 140 hours. A fourth setting produces a flashing, strobe light for emergency signaling. A single red LED also provides a continuous and flashing setting. This red filtered light is especially helpful for allowing the user to maintain night vision for when the light is turned off.
The Zipka Plus 2 is powered by three Alkaline AAA batteries (included). With batteries, the Zipka Plus 2 weighs a mere 2.5 ounces. To further reduce weight and allow for better performance at lower temperatures, the Zipka Plus 2 is also compatible with lithium batteries (sold separately).
Water-resistant and suitable for all-weather use, the Petzl Zipka Plus 2 includes a comfortable, adjustable elastic headband and is available in your choice of colors.
