Weighing in at just 14.5 ounces per pair, the Patagonia Women's Bly Mid GORE-TEX hiking boot is suitable for lightweight backpacking trips and any length day hike on maintained trails in easy-to-moderate terrain. A full GORE-TEX bootie and full grain leather upper keeps water out of the boot and a polyester mesh lining keeps feet dry by wicking moisture. For added durability, a rubber rand around the edge of the boot protects the upper from abrasion and trail wear.
The Women's Bly Mid GORE-TEX has a light and comfortable feel on your foot. The top of the boot is pliable and a soft, wicking mesh tongue and collar lets you snug the Bly Mid Bly Mid GORE-TEX tight around your ankle or offer gentle cushioning if you need some support but are not fond of a boot hugging your ankle.
Under foot you'll find a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) shock plate to protect the bottom of your foot from the impact of roots and rocks as well as Patagonia's 3DM-triple density EVA midsole with a specific design to support a women's foot. Patagonia's Air Cushion Plus provides shock absorption on long hikes or under the weight of a pack.
A 70% recycled foam foot bed with carbon to neutralize odor wicks moisture and offers a little extra cushion against the bottom of the foot. The outsole of the Women's Bly Mid GORE-TEX boot uses a multi-tread Vibram Ecostep rubber which provides excellent traction on a variety of surface.
Sold in pairs, the Patagonia Women's Bly Mid GORE-TEX hiking boot is available in full and half sizes. To keep the leather on this boot in good shape and to prevent water absorption in the upper for the life of the boot you should apply a fabric and leather conditioner as well as a waterproofing treatment (both sold separately).
