New for 2014! The full-featured Patagonia Men’s Leashless Jacket is built from durable, 3-layer waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX Active fabric and delivers total weather protection in serious alpine conditions. This reliability makes the jacket ideal for traveling, climbing or skiing in the backcountry.
Long and hard ascents or extended days of wet backcountry travel call for a serious, go-anywhere, do-everything waterproof/breathable shell such as the Men’s Leashless Jacket. The lightweight, 3-layer GORE-TEX Active fabric membrane is bonded between a durable, nylon outer shell and a sturdy inner lining that allows for protection and serious wear and tear in all conditions. In addition, a DWR (durable water repellent) finish fends off wet weather while full-reach gusseted underarm panels allow for complete mobility while climbing or skiing. Ventilating pit zips allow have coated, watertight 2-way zippers.
A helmet compatible, 2-way adjustable hood employs a laminated visor and will not impede peripheral vision. Hook-and-loop wrist closures and a drawcord hem seal out cold drafts and moisture. A full suite of pockets with watertight zippers include two hand pockets that stay clear of a harness and pack straps, a zippered exterior left chest pocket and an internal, zippered right chest pocket. Other details include a microfleece-lined back of neck and wind flap for next-to-skin comfort.
