Product Highlights

Made of water-resistant, breathable packcloth, Outdoor Research Women's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters offer full-length protection from mud, snow and debris. Ideal for hiking, backpacking or winter activities, Women's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters provide all-season performance.

An elastic bottom edge, a boot lace hook, a strap and cam buckle top closure and a 1-inch wide hook/loop front closure work together to keep the Women's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters securely in place. A Hypalon instep strap provides further stability. A hook/loop shear tab prevents separation at the front, lower portion of the gaiters. Women's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters can be worn with hiking boots or heavier winter boots.

Likes: I primarily use these over running sneakers and tights for slushy trail walks and runs. They are easy to get on and off and do a good job of keeping snow from creeping up the leg. I find that I can use them over a pair of Columbia snow boots but it is a fairly tight fit. So far the bottom strap has held up well, with just a little fraying along the edges.

Dislikes: With some of the sneakers I wear them with I am not able to use the toe clip (they don't have standard shoe laces) and this can cause some snow to creep up under the gaiter. It doesn't tend to be much of a problem unless I have to venture off the trail into deeper snow.
