A versatile option for climbers, hikers, kayakers or other fast-and-light devotees, the Outdoor Research Drycomp Vertex Sack doubles as a compression stuff sack and a full-featured daypack. The Drycomp Vertex Sack packs down small when not in use, so you can throw it in your backpack and save it for day trips.

Ultralight, waterproof 40D sinyl fabric makes the Drycomp Vertex Sack extremely lightweight. The Drycomp Vertex Sack also employs Hydroseal-coated Antron nylon that remains waterproof while allowing air to escape the interior of the pack. A roll-top closure ensures that the contents of the Drycomp Vertex Sack remain safe and secure. Four integrated compressions straps allow you to cinch down the packbag, forcing excess air through the Antron nylon. At its least-compressed sate, the Drycomp Vertex Sack provides 1760 cubic inches of storage capacity while weighing just 17.3 ounces.

The compression straps double as shoulder straps and a hipbelt when you prefer to use the Drycomp Vertex Sack as a daypack. An integrated sternum strap lends further stability and the buckle doubles as a safety whistle. A built-in, zippered sleeve even allows you to combine the Drycomp Vertex Sack with a water reservoir (not included) for on-the-go hydration. Other stand-out features include dual daisy chain attachment points, ice-axe loops and twin side water bottle pockets.
