Ultralight and compressible, the Men's Helium Jacket weighs in at a mere 6.8 ounces, a packed weight sure to appeal to ounce-counting backpackers. Pertex Shield DS ripstop fabric offers waterproof, breathable protection. This fabric is ultralight and ultra-compressible without compromising durability.

Despite its lightweight design, the Men's Helium Jacket still incorporates a number of features, including a single-pull hood adjustment, a hem adjustment and elastic cuffs to deliver a customized fit. For convenient storage, the Men's Helium Jacket stows neatly inside its own side-hem pocket. Other features include a storm flap behind the front zipper and a zippered external chest pocket.

    Likes: Totally waterproof (even passed a tough shower test), very light and compact, fit is good, semi-breathable

    Dislikes: The hood is hard to adjust and the brim could provide more coverage

    Likes: Amazingly light and completely waterproof. I've had no issues with wear (despite its thin fabric) or its water repelling ability depleting with use. It folds easily into an internal pocket and is light enough to carry around daily.

    Dislikes: As mentioned in a previous review, the sizing is very trim - I'd treat this as a warm-weather only jacket given its (apparent) lack of strength and trim fit.

    Likes: Incredibly lite! Folds up into its own inside pocket to about the size of a cheeseburger. Stops wind and rain dead in their tracks, the waterproof zippers are very nice. The fabric seems too thin to be rugged but mine has held up with no signs of wear. Even in the heaviest rain you will not get wet. Since the outer fabric completely repels water you are not faced with the dillemma (common with some gore-tex products of being dry inside a cold, drenched jacket. Stores away in your pack and takes almost no room.

    Dislikes: The sizing is about one full size small (large is like a medium). I bought mine to be the outer shell of a layered system and there is no room to spare.
