The Osprey Aether 60 strikes an excellent balance between lightweight design and load-bearing performance. Despite weighing right around 4 pounds, the Aether 60 offers 3500 cubic inches of storage capacity and comfortably carries up to 55 pounds!

Constantly striving to enhance comfort and performance, Osprey has equipped the Aether 60 with the ground-breaking AirScape suspension system. An HDPE framesheet works in tandem with peripheral lightweight aluminum stabilizer rods to grant strength and stability to the Aether 60. This design ensures your balance by effectively distributing weight. A textured, foam backpanel and IsoForm harness maximize comfort and help to reduce heat build-up between your back and the pack. Further enhancing fit, the revolutionary IsoForm CM hipbelt utilizes an ErgoPull closure that draws tension along the top and the bottom of the belt. A sliding sternum strap and load-lifter straps allow you to fine-tune fit with on-the-go adjustments. Each of three available sizes of the Aether 60 offers torso adjustability. The SM accommodates torsos less than 18.5" in lengths, the MD accommodates torso lengths ranging from 18"-20.5" and the LG is designed for torso lengths that exceed 20".

To guarantee that the Aether 60 fits like a glove, Osprey offers swappable IsoForm hipbelts and shoulder harnesses. The SM hipbelt fits waists ranging from 27"-31", the MD hipbelt fits waists ranging from 30"-34", the LG hipbelt fits waists ranging from 33"-37" and the XL hipbelt is designed for waists larger than 36". For most backpackers, the shoulder harness size should match the pack size, but for those with wider or narrower shoulders, additional sizes are available. The Aether 60's IsoForm harness is available in SM, MD, LG and XL sizes. Each size provides a vertical adjustability of 2"-3".

Designed to comfortably carry 40-55 pounds of gear, the Aether 60 is available in three sizes. The SM Aether 60 offers 3500 cubic inches of storage capacity and the MD and LG sizes offer 3700 and 3900 cubic inches, respectively. The packbag is top-loading, but a sleeping bag compartment offers lower, front access. A front pocket utilizes welded stretch woven Nylon with Lycra fabric to serve as a convenient storage spot for layers of clothing or other gear. Stretch woven side pockets are the perfect place for stashing water bottles or other smaller items. Side compression straps enables you to cinch down your pack to keep contents safely and securely in place and also double as lash points for additional gear. Buckled straps that pass over the front of the packbag are designed to further enhance the compressibility of the Aether 60 and provide yet another place to stow gear.

Other features found on the Aether 60 include integrated trekking pole loops and a top lid that is removable for use as a lumbar pack. Removable straps located in front of the sleeping bag compartment securely stow sleeping pads.

An internal lined sleeve and dual exit ports combine to make the Aether 60 hydration compatible.
