Employing the same award-winning design of the classic Nova, the Optimus Nova+ liquid-fuel stove balances all-weather performance, versatility, ease of use and compact dimensions. Updates to the flame control valve and the feet of the pot supports offer alpine explorers and backpackers a revved-up version of the stove they've come to love.

The Nova+'s quick-priming burner offers reliable performance even in the most extreme conditions. The burner rests inside a lightweight aluminum housing that connects to three sturdy, fold-away pot supports. Serrated to better support pots and toothed to improve overall stove stability, the supports offer a wide cooking base but collapse against the housing of the Nova+ to keep packed size to a minimum. A patented Quick EZ Connect Coupling attaches the Nova+'s burner safely to the easy-to-use Flipstop fuel pump. This pump is used to pressurize the contents of the Nova+'s 20-ounce fuel bottle (sold separately) so that it can be fed into the Nova+'s burner, vaporized, and create an even, stable blue flame when mixed with oxygen as it passes through the burner's jet. The Powerline control valve is nestled against the Flipstop pump, rather than at the burner itself, allowing you to safely adjust the height of the flame remotely without any risk of burning your hands.

Unlike canister stoves that rely on a specific fuel mix to function optimally, the versatile liquid-fuel Nova+ can employ Optimus Arctic Fuel (sold separately), white gas, kerosene, diesel or even jet fuel (NOTE: Do not use automobile gasoline, as it is volatile, extremely flammable and often releases hazardous vapors when ignited). This makes the Nova+ an ideal choice for expeditions and backpacking trips when reliance on just one specific type of fuel could leave you with a worthless stove. Many comparable liquid-fuel stoves on the market are able to utilize varied fuel sources, but require changing from one jet type to another in order to function efficiently. The Nova+, however, boasts Single Jet multi-fuel technology that accommodates a wide range of fuels without the hassle and additional packed weight of multiple jets.

Because the openings of liquid-fuel stove jets are necessarily extremely small, they are vulnerable to clogging from un-vaporized and solidified fuel particles. To ensure that your Nova+'s burner continues to operate at full capacity, an Optimus Magic Magnetic Cleaning Needle is included. This handy little tool enables you to keep the burner clean and even remove debris while the Nova+ is in operation.

A Wind Foil is included to increase the burner's efficiency by reducing heat loss and eliminating "flame-outs". In addition, the Optimus Nova+ comes with instructions, replacement O-rings, a fuel filter, lubricant and a stuff sack with convenient pockets and a drawstring closure.
