Product Highlights

An ideal option for lightweight backpacking, the Optimus Crux Lite/Terra Weekend Cook Set combines everything you need for backcountry meals into a single unit. The Crux stove weighs a mere 3.3 ounces and folds down to fit easily and efficiently into the Terra Weekend cookware.

Made of durable, stainless materials, the Crux's 2 inch-diameter burner effectively distributes heat, providing an even cooking surface for backcountry meals. Depending on altitude and temperature conditions, this tiny powerhouse can boil a quart of water in as little as 3 minutes! An integrated foldable burner control allows you to adjust the height of the Crux's flame without any fear of burning your hand.

Three ergonomic, serrated pot supports lend stability and accommodate most backpacking pots, pans and skillets. Folded out of the way, the pot supports tuck under the head of the burner.

Made of hard-anodized aluminum, the Terra Weekend consists of a 0.95L cookpot with a lid that doubles as a frypan. Measuring just 5.2" x 4.8", the Terra Weekend can enclose the Crux, a fuel canister and even a Folding Spork!

NOTE: The Crux Lite requires the use of a canister of Optimus Gas (sold separately). A blend of 70% butane and 30% propane, Optimus Gas provides consistent, reliable 3-season backcountry performance. No priming or pumping is needed when using Optimus Gas canisters. An 8-ounce canister of Optimus Gas will provide up to 60 minutes of burn time at the highest maximum output.

Each Optimus Crux/Terra Weekend Cook Set includes a mesh stuff bag and instructions.

Likes: Great cook set! Very happy with this purchase. Everything fits together well. Cooking is efficient. The pots are a nice size for backpacking trips for one or two people. This is exactly what I expected.

Dislikes: The pots don't clean up as easily as I would like.

Likes: Used this stove for the first time with my son on our first backpacking adventure. Heated our food quickly. Non stick coating on cookware made clean up quick and easy. Folds up and stores with gas in cookware.

Dislikes: I was unable to find Optimus gas in my area. Stove is EN417 cmpliant, so wound up using another brands gas with no problems.

Likes: The stove is lightweight and much smaller than I expected. It is made of quality materials. Everything folds up neatly within the pot. The burner works decently well.

Dislikes: The Optimus gas canisters are not widely available. None of the local camping stores in my area that sell many other brands of camping stove fuel stock it (i.e., REI, Sport Chalet, etc.), and it is either very expensive or not possible to purchase the fuel by mail.
