Product Highlights

Designed for ultra-lightweight backpacking, the Optimus Crux Lite stove is an excellent balance of weight and efficiency! Weighing a mere 2.7 ounces, this canister stove has a foldable burner head that provides a solid resting place for pots and pans, but folds neatly away for easy and efficient storage.

Made of durable, stainless materials, the Crux Lite's 2 inch-diameter burner effectively distributes heat, providing an even cooking surface for backcountry meals. Depending on altitude and temperature conditions, this tiny powerhouse can boil a quart of water in as little as 3 minutes! An integrated foldable burner control allows you to adjust the height of the Crux Lite's flame without any fear of burning your hand.

Three ergonomic, serrated pot supports lend stability and accommodate most backpacking pots, pans and skillets. Folded out of the way, the pot supports tuck under the head of the burner, reducing the Crux Lite, including its burner valve, to only 2.8" x 2.2" x 2.2".

The Crux Lite requires the use of a canister of Optimus Gas (sold separately). A blend of 70% butane and 30% propane, Optimus Gas provides consistent, reliable 3-season backcountry performance. No priming or pumping is needed when using Optimus Gas canisters. An 8-ounce canister of Optimus Gas will provide up to 60 minutes of burn time at the highest maximum output.

Each Optimus Crux Lite includes a stuff bag and instructions.

Likes: This is easily the best backpacking stove I have ever used. It was extremely lightweight, compact, and put out a ton of heat quickly. I've gone on two trips for 9 days each, and it performed better than expected

Dislikes: The holding prongs were a bit small, but still held the pot I used pretty sturdily.

Likes: Stove works well and has a good boil time - most importantly, it is not nearly as loud as the pocket rocket (something you may not care about but your fellow campers are sure to appreciate).

    Dislikes: Nothing so far.

Likes: This thing is tiny but burns hotter and louder than my jet boil or any other stove I've owned. Fits nicely inside my titanium cup for easy nesting storage. Perfect for combining with a small fuel canister to shave weight.

    Dislikes: none.
