Sure to delight ounce-counting thru-hikers, the Meta 1P tent uses innovative, lightweight construction to serve as a reliable sub-2 pound solo shelter. Though a trekking pole is required to erect the Meta 1P, by not needing any additional poles, the packed size is a mere 6" by 6".
Measuring 102" x 36" the streamlined Meta 1P provides 25.5 square feet of interior space. Pitched with a single trekking pole (not included), the Meta 1P has a 50" peak height that allows easy access to the interior of the tent. A unique grommeted design secures the trekking pole in place, ensuring a sturdier pitch than is found on many other "trekking pole" tents. The hybrid single-wall design incorporates a rainfly that provides an additional 12.7 square feet of protected exterior storage space. The fly can be rolled back and lashed in place to increase airflow in fair and warm weather.
Mesh fabric on the interior face of the Meta 1P promotes airflow and helps to fend off condensation. High tenacity 20D Sil-PU nylon on the shell and vestibule provides lightweight, waterproof protection. All seams are tape-sealed to further protect the Meta 1P from the elements.
The NEMO Meta 1P includes a watertight stuff sack, stakes and a repair kit.

Likes: Reasonably light (2 lb 7 oz on my scales with all stakes, accessories and sacks). Easy pitch (under 4 minutes from bag to pitch first time). PU coated nylon for less retensioning than Sil Nylon. Big vestibule, good size with easy entry and sitting space. Components, accessories and construction are high quality.
Dislikes: Really need the extra end tie-outs to get good clearance over head and feet (I'm only 5'11"). For gram counters, a lighter sack would be nice. The solidly built, compression dry sack for the tent and stake sack totaled 3.1 oz on my scale.
