Product Highlights

The MSR WhisperLite International combines the reliability and durability of the classic MSR WhisperLite stove with multi-fuel burning capabilities, making it ideal for international travelers and backpackers who require flexibility in the type of fuel they burn.

The WhisperLite International includes swappable Shaker Jets to equip it for use with fuels varying from white gas to kerosene to unleaded gasoline. The self-cleaning Shaker Jets utilize a weighted needle to allow fuel to flow without risk of blockage from unvaporized and solidified fuel particles. When the stove isn't in use, you simply press to the needle to push any debris through the jet's opening.

On white gas, the WhisperLite International boils a liter of water in 3.5 minutes. Kerosene provides better burn time (155 minutes vs. 110 minutes) but takes 4.4 minutes to bring a liter of water to boil.

Broad, lightweight support legs and serrated pot supports provide solid stability. These elements are constructed of stainless steel to ensure durability at a minimal trail weight.

The MSR WhisperLite International stove includes a fuel pump, windscreen, heat reflector, small parts kit, stuff sack and instructions. NOTE: Fuel Bottles are sold separately.

Likes: - Versatile (uses just about any fuel type you can find)
    - Easy to light and adjust, once you get the hang of it.
    - Very hot - heats up water very quickly
    - Stays lit even in windy conditions
    - Lightweight (excluding the fuel bottle) and packs easily inside my cooking pot
    - Construction materials and workmanship seem to be first-rate, and I expect it to be very durable even after lots of use.

Dislikes: - Have to carry fuel separately (unlike some of the wood-burning stoves), which can be heavy
    - Depending on the fuel type, can leave black residue on your cookpots

Likes: The new WhisperLite International for 2012 has the same reliable operating system that the old WhisperLite stoves have. I bought this new stove because of the new style legs and serrated pot holders. I've used it with large and small pots and it is more stable than the older versions of the stove. Same quality, more stable.

    Dislikes: Nothing yet.
