Product Highlights
The MSR SweetWater Purifier System combines the advantages of a purifier and a filter into one system for added viral protection in popular wilderness areas and developing countries, or anywhere with considerable human activity.
The system consists of the MSR SweetWater Microfilter, which protects against protozoa and bacteria, the chlorine-based MSR SweetWater Purifier Solution for additional protection against viruses, a Universal Bottle Adapter that allows the microfilter to work with a number of different water containers and a cleaning brush. With this system, you can pump 1+ liters of water per minute, add the SweetWater Purifier Solution, wait 5 minutes, and you're left with microbiologically safe, good-tasting water.
When used according to the instructions, the SweetWater Purifier System inactivates 99.99% of waterborne viruses; and eliminates over 99.9999% of all waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of common protozoan parasites, such as giardia and cryptosporidia, as well as particulates, bad tastes, and odors.
The SweetWater Microfilter pumps on both the up and down strokes. The cleanable, granular activated carbon filter is good for up to 750 liters of water before replacement. At only 14 oz., the system is lightweight and the microfilter unit measures 7.5 in. x 2 in.
