Product Highlights

Equipped with an innovative trigger release system and secure locking systems, MSR SureLock TR-2 trekking poles deliver all-season reliability for backpacking and hiking. Constructed of 7000-series aluminum, two-section SureLock TR-2 poles strike a nice balance of weight and durability.

One-handed Trigger Release adjustments on the SureLock TR-2's handles allow you to truly make on-the-go adjustments instead of having to stop and fiddle with locking mechanisms lower on the pole shafts. By pulling up on the trigger, you disengage the housed SureLock push-button system, allowing the poles to smoothly extend to the height you need and then reliably locking back into place. Integrated straps on the grips help to take strain and stress off of your wrists.

To ensure all-season performance, MSR SureLock TR-2 poles include low-profile standard trekking baskets and swappable broader-diameter Snow Baskets. Carbide tips provide excellent on- or off-trail traction. The tips are replaceable and designed to break away entirely on the off-chance that you would get the poles stuck between rocks, putting poles shafts in jeopardy.

Sold in pairs, MSR SureLock TR-2 trekking poles are available in your choice of height adjustable lengths.

Likes: Got these to go along with MSR shoes and really like the combo. They are nice to have with steep slippery inclines, as just being able to transfer your weight or find a solid anchor before shifting weight is the difference between climbing vs going face down in the snow. Good range of adjustment heights (I'm 5'9").

Dislikes: The mechanism to adjust the height was a bit stiff in the cold and difficult to operate with mittens on. But really, I am nitpicking. Would have been nice to have a threaded monopod mount on the top. Not made in USA.
