With a minimal weight of 3 pounds 2 ounces, the MSR Nook combines weight savings with space enough to shelter one or two campers. The Nook is designed for lightweight backpacking and easily fits into small backcountry campsites.
The freestanding pole configuration of the Nook provides 28 square feet of interior space and the 88 inches of length suit taller campers or leaves room for inside storage. A single door and 6 square feet of vestibule at the head of the Nook offer sheltered access in wet weather and external storage for wet boots and packs. The floor plan can fit two 20 inch wide sleeping pads side by side, offering useable interior space with notable weight savings. Strong and supportive aluminum poles are lightweight and easy to set up.
The tent body's rip-stop nylon and mesh construction allows for ventilation while equipping the Nook for better performance in a variety of weather conditions. MSR's stay-dry design prevents roof run-off from dripping into the interior of the tent when the fly is open and two vents built into the fly increase ventilation when the weather forces you to zip the doors shut. The Nook employs taped seams on the floor and rainfly to prevent leaks and reinforced stress points to prevent tear-outs. A storage sack is included.
A compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to fully protect the floor of the Nook from moisture, sharp objects, mud and ground water.

Likes: Light weight. Easy to set up. Withstood An evening of high winds and variable rain. I Love this tent. Worth every dollar! Recommend footprint.
Dislikes: Expensive, but the quality is worth it.
