New for 2008! Building on the award-winning design of the MSR Hubba, the new MSR Hubba HP offers increased protection against wet weather and cold temperatures. Without compromising the ultra-lightweight design of its Hubba series, MSR has given solo hikers greater versatility for 3+ season use.

The unique pole configuration of the 1-person Hubba HP provides 17 square feet of interior space and a full 40 inches of interior height for maximum livability. Strong and supportive, DAC NSL aluminum poles are extremely lightweight. Dependable MSR Ultralight Needle Stakes are included to aid in securing the freestanding Hubba HP. A vestibule offers an additional 9.5 square feet of protected storage space.

By swapping much of the mesh found on the classic Hubba series for ripstop nylon, MSR has equipped the Hubba HP for better performance in snow, sand and wind. Like other MSR Fast & Light tents, the Hubba HP employs taped seams on the floor and rainfly to prevent leaks. Welded reinforcements at the stress points further prevent tear-outs and increased weatherproofing on the floor of the Hubba HP provides greater protection against the elements. The guy lines are reflective to help you find your way back to your tent in the dark.

Despite its rugged construction, the Hubba HP weighs a mere 2 lb. 9 oz. If, however, you prefer to travel even lighter, the Hubba HP rainfly can be used alone or in tandem with the optional footprint (sold separately), making the Hubba HP a feather-light freestanding minimalist shelter.
