Product Highlights

The MSR Hubba is the solo version of MSR's highly acclaimed Hubba Hubba tent. Designed for solo backpackers, the freestanding Hubba weighs a mere 2 pounds, 13 ounces!

The unique pole configuration of the Hubba provides 17 square feet of interior space and a full 40 inches of interior height for maximum livability. Strong and supportive, DAC NSL aluminum poles are extremely lightweight. DAC J stakes are included to aid in securing the freestanding Hubba. A vestibule offers an additional 9.5 square feet of protected storage space.

Extensive mesh construction keeps weight to a minimum while maximizing ventilation. The Hubba is extremely breathable which increases livability and combats the build-up of condensation on the interior of the tent. In warm, clear weather, you can tie-back the exterior door to allow even greater airflow. MSR's stay-dry design prevents roof run-off from dripping into the interior of the tent when the fly is open.

The Hubba employs taped seams on the floor and rainfly to prevent leaks. The stress points are reinforced to prevent tear-outs, and the guy lines are reflective to help you find your way back to your tent in the dark.

If you prefer to travel even lighter, the Hubba rainfly can be used alone or in tandem with an optional footprint (sold separately), making the Hubba a feather-light freestanding minimalist shelter.

Likes: This is a great one person tent. I bought it two weeks before I went to Philmont. I had intended to take my Gunnison 2.1 which I love but after several training hikes didn't want to carry the 6 pounds for 71 miles. The Hubba with footprint is an honest 3.5 pounds. I am 6 foot 218 pounds and had enough room to move around and sit up in this tent. A regular size Therm-a-rest fits really nicely on the floor of the tent. The Hubba is easy to set up and take down and dries quickly. The materail is really slick and sheds water easily. There was barely enough room in the vestibule for my Kelty Red Cloud 5600 pack but it did protect it during a thunder storm. It stood up well to two storms.

    Dislikes: No window.

Likes: Even for a one person tent, it's pretty spacious. I'm 6 feet tall and i can easily sit up and change inside the tent. The vestibule is off the hook. It's also really light.

    Dislikes: Nothing
