The spacious MSR Hoop 3-season backpacking tent offers a unique pole structure that lets you leave optional poles behind for more weight savings and is designed to accommodate two 25" wide sleeping pads and taller campers.
The unique, freestanding pole configuration of the Hoop provides 32 square feet of interior space, extra large doors and a full 44 inches of interior height for maximum livability. Three strong and supportive DAC aluminum poles are lightweight and the two side poles are optional for a non-freestanding set-up when you want to pack even lighter. DAC J stakes are included to aid in anchoring the Hoop. Dual vestibules offer a combined 18.5 square feet of additional protected storage space and the included gear loft lets you store smaller items overhead in an easy to reach place.
The tent body's rip-stop nylon and mesh construction allows for ventilation while equipping the Hoop for better performance in snow, sand and wind. In warm, clear weather, you can tie-back the exterior doors to allow even greater airflow. MSR's stay-dry design prevents roof run-off from dripping into the interior of the tent when the fly is open and two vents built into the fly increase ventilation when the weather forces you to zip the doors shut. The Hoop employs taped seams on the floor and rainfly to prevent leaks and reinforced stress points to prevent tear-outs. A storage sack is included.
A compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to fully protect the floor of the Hoop from moisture, sharp objects, mud and ground water.
