The lightweight and durable MSR Ground Hog Stake is a performance upgrade from standard tent stakes. Constructed of 7000 series aluminum and utilizing a Y-shape for added strength, the Ground Hog Stake has a tapered point that makes staking easy. A small section of cord is attached to each 7.5" stake, providing additional staking options and making it easy to pull out the stake when you're ready to tear down your tent and get back on the trail.
The MSR Ground Hog Stake Kit includes 8 stakes.

Likes: The ground was so hard I had to use a big rock to pound the stakes in. They didn't bend!

Likes: The length has to be a plus and the bright red color makes them easier to see.The pull cord on the top makes for fast extraction and of course being aluminum means lightest in the pack.Must advice the use of a plastic or rawhide mallet as opposes to a steel hammer if you want to keep this stake from mushrooming over time.
Dislikes: 10 stakes,instead of 8 for the money!
