Product Highlights

Continuing to lend innovation to the field of lumbar packs, Mountainsmith has introduced the Tour Recycled, an eco-friendly redesign of Mountainsmith's classic Tour lumbar pack. Loaded with the same great features found on the original Tour lumbar pack, the Tour Recycled utilizes a ground-breaking fabric made entirely of 100% recycled plastic beverage bottles.

Despite weighing only 1 lb. 5 oz., the Tour Recycled has a full 488 cubic inches of carrying capacity. The waistbelt has a wide wrap-around style and incorporates the triangulated straps of Mountainsmith's patented Delta Compression System to shift weight into the lumbar region for a stable, evenly distributed load. Lined with an elastic mesh fabric, the foam-padded waistbelt provides more support than comparable lumbar packs and remains comfortable to wear even on hot days.

Featuring three separate compartments and two additional storage pockets, the Tour Recycled offers organizational options. A zippered pocket on the inside of the main compartment provides a hideaway for keys, coins and other valuables. Adjustable mesh side pockets feature a bungee closure and can accommodate 32 oz. water bottles. A bungee attachment on the front of the Tour Recycled allows you to carry a lightweight jacket, sweatshirt or additional gear.

With varied carrying options, the versatile Tour Recycled can also be used as a shoulder bag, a briefcase, or as an add-on pocket for a full-size backpack. Optional Mountainsmith Strapettes, sold separately, can be employed to serve as shoulder straps and provide extra support when heavy loads are being carried in the Tour Recycled.

The Mountainsmith Tour Recycled is available in your choice of color options.

Colors available: Charcoal, Heritage Red, Lotus Blue, Pinon Green

Likes: Nice features. Stays small or strap stuff on for an extended day hike. Comfortable loaded. Decent price and recycled.

Dislikes: A bit heavy, but the heavy duty construction should make it last (I hope)

Likes: I have went on 10 Day hikes with the Lumbar Pack. No problems at all, I don't need a lot of room and this pack meets my needs. I have a heavy wind breaker/Jacket which I keep under the pack. I keep my safety things on the front compartment and food, blanket(space type), camera, ect. in the larger compartment. It has same bag in the main compartment which I keep maps and compass. The front compartment has strap with a clip, I keep my swiss army knife on that. It has 2 attachment points on the lumbar, and I use 1 liter bottles on both sides. I did try 40 oz bottles and this will work.

Dislikes: I like everything about this pack, the only small problem was the product information was on the hand straps which made a small material defect due to the plastic tie down going through the handle strap

Likes: Perfect size for med/anesth provider, lots of handy expander features,
3 handbooks and devices all fit with room for snacks and water

    Dislikes: A cell/pocket needed

Likes: Pack is extremely comfortable even when fully loaded. Yellow interior makes it easy to locate items. Able to carry lunch, 2 containers of water, raingear, camera, cell phone and other items with ease. Like the fact that the side straps can be tucked away to carry like a handbag with the strap provided. Highly recommend this pack in place of a traditionals backpack. Service was excellent. Received product in two days.

Dislikes: I like everything about it. No complaints.

Likes: Great lumbar pack! Just the right size for an all-day hike.

Dislikes: Since, like most guys, I don't have hips, I need the Strapette option to keep it from sliding down.

Likes: Lumbar pack keeps the weight lower on your back, and along with the optional straps, you can carry a lot of weight. Also, water bottles are easy to get to.

Likes: This is a great bag. I took it to Cyprus on a residency. On the flights over, I was able to fit 3 books, a change of clothes, a folder packed with papers that stood vertically, and a bunch of snacks. It is big and versatile. Love it!

    Dislikes: Nothing comes to mind.
