Weighing 4 pounds 10 ounces, the Monarch 0 Degree is insulated with compressible, MountainLoft Hollowfiber synthetic fill. Though still not as compressible as natural down fill, breathable and fast-drying MountainLoft, unlike down fill, is water-resistant and continues to provide warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be camping in wet weather or humid climates.
Quilted construction and a differential cut for optimal loft help eliminate cold spots, keeping outside air from reaching the interior of the Monarch 0 Degree. This type of quilt construction is durable and maintains its shape and structure even after many uses. A draft tube behind the calf-length, two-way locking zipper, an insulated neck baffle collar and a form fitting, adjustable hood with an further enhance the thermal efficiency of the Monarch 0 Degree bag. A contoured foot box enhances comfort and warmth.
The Mountainsmith Monarch 0 Degree sleeping bag is available in a single length that fits from 5' 10" to 6' 4". Each Monarch 0 Degree bag includes a compression stuff sack and a cotton storage sack.
