Product Highlights

Perfect for multi-day adventures, the Mountainsmith Lariat 65 internal frame backpack offers 4760 cubic inches of storage space. Equipped with a detachable summit pack and numerous gear attachment points, the Lariat 65 is built for backcountry adventure.

Utilizing a Parallel Y-Frame adjustable suspension, the Lariat 65 is designed to comfortably haul heavy loads by efficiently distributing weight, providing better load control and increasing flexibility. A dual-density, compression-molded backpanel is channeled to allow air to circulate, keeping your back cool and dry while in the backcountry. Fit is adjustable to accommodate torsos ranging from 17"-22" in length. A dual density waistbelt supports weight and provides cushioning while conforming to the contours of your hips. Adjustable shoulder straps, load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance fit and comfort. Side and bottom compression straps allow you to cinch down your load for better stability and maneuverability.

You can reach the packbag of the Lariat 65 through top and front access points. The standard capacity of the Lariat 65 is 3966 cubic inches but an integrated spindrift collar expands usable capacity to a full 4760 cubic inches. The height of the Lariat 65's top lid can be adjusted to accommodate the expanded collar. A huge "U"-shaped zipper throws the front of the pack wide open, enabling you to quickly put hands on contents without having to completely unload the packbag. A large front pocket stores additional gear and detaches entirely for use as a streamlined summit pack complete with its own shoulder straps and hydration sleeve.

Other features on the Lariat 65 include tool and trekking pole mounts, ice axe loops and daisy chain gear attachment points. An internal lined pocket and drinking tube exit port make the Lariat 65 hydration system (sold separately) compatible. External canted mesh pockets safely stow water bottles and provide convenient on-the-go access.

The Mountainsmith Lariat 65 internal frame backpack is available in your choice of color options.
