Designed to meet the needs of trail-runners, mountain bikers, adventure racers and dayhikers, the Mountainsmith Epic is full of high-performance features, including an innovative suspension system and a built-in hydration system.

Putting a modern twist on a traditional offering, Mountainsmith's Technical Lumbar Series applies the carrying comfort and stability of rugged backpacks to smaller lumbar packs. An ultra-breathable mesh backpanel provides the Epic with rigidity for load support while still offering the flexibility to adjust to your movements. By creating space between your lower back and the pack itself, the panel allows air to circulate and keeps sweat to a minimum.

The main compartment of the Epic offers 183 cubic inches of storage capacity. A 4-point compression system can be cinched or expanded to make certain that the contents of the Epic remain securely in place. A fully-padded waistbelt provides comfort and ensures that the Epic doesn't shift while you're engaged in backcountry activities.

A built-in 32 oz. water reservoir and drinking hose offer on-the-go hydration. Other features found on the Epic include a padded MP3 sleeve and cord exit port, a quick-draw mesh gel sleeve, clip-on attachment points and an elastic bungee attachment system. Reflective highlights on the exterior of the Epic help promote visibility for nighttime use.
