Mountainsmith is pleased to be an industry leader in the move towards sustainable construction. Reflecting Mountainsmith's commitment to using reclaimed materials whenever possible, the Boundary Recycled is constructed of PET Recycled fabric, a material woven from threads produced from 100% recycled plastic beverage bottles.
The Boundary Recycled employs Mountainsmith's Load Dispersion Technology (LDT) suspension system. Twin lightweight aluminum stays overlap to form a supportive "X" that is contoured to mirror the natural shape of your back. This internal support system offers a flexible central pivot point which better distributes your load rather than driving all the weight to your hips. Coupled with an internal framesheet, the overall effect of the LDT system is efficient weight distribution, stable load control and flexibility that accommodates your movements. The Boundary Recycled's suspension is adjustable to fit a torso range of 18-22". Load-lifter straps, an adjustable sternum strap and a foam-padded, pivoting waistbelt further enhance fit, comfort and stability. The Boundary Recycled's dual density molded backpanel is channeled to encourage airflow and keep your back cool and dry.
A zippered divider between the Boundary Recycled's top loading main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the Boundary Recycled to a single, large compartment. Large zippered, external side pockets provide additional storage options and feature a pass-through design, allowing you to slide tent poles or trekking poles in behind them. The extendible lid of the Boundary Recycled is home to another large pocket and can be detached entirely for use as a lumbar pack.
The Boundary Recycled also boasts an array of performance features, including an ice axe loop, an integrated spindrift collar, side compression straps, dual elastic side water bottle pockets and a cord-locked bungee attachment system on the front of the pack. A lined interior pocket and built-in tube exit make the Boundary Recycled hydration compatible.
Constructed of lightweight, durable 6061 series aluminum, Pinnacle trekking poles employ three-sections to provide an adjustability range of 27" to 53" and maximum collapsibility. Quick-twist locking mechanisms make adjustment easy and an integrated anti-shock system helps to lessen the impact on your wrists. Rubber grips provide an ergonomic handhold. The carbide tips provide traction on varied terrains and removable rubber tip protectors equip Pinnacle poles for off-trail use and protect the carbide tips during travel.
