Designed to be used as a day pack or as an overnighter, the Mountainsmith Approach 3.0 Recycled backpack offers a large array of features for its size. The Approach 3.0 Recycled is a versatile, reliable and functional "green" alternative to traditional packs.
Mountainsmith is pleased to be an industry leader in the move towards sustainable construction. Reflecting Mountainsmith's commitment to using reclaimed materials whenever possible, the Approach 3.0 Recycled is constructed of PET Recycled fabric, a material woven from threads produced from 100% recycled plastic beverage bottles.
For load-carrying comfort, the Approach 3.0 Recycled includes suspension features usually found only on larger capacity backpacks. This suspension adjusts to fit a torso range of 18"-22". A dual-density, molded backpanel is channeled to allow air to circulate, keeping your back cool and dry while in the backcountry. The Approach 3.0 Recycled's backpanel works in tandem with a Delrin-hoop frame, adding rigidity to the pack, keeping it from sagging under its load and transferring weight to the pivoting waistbelt. The waistbelt can be tucked away when you are traveling light and additional support is not required. Adjustable shoulder straps, load-lifter straps and an adjustable sternum strap further enhance fit and comfort.
The Approach 3.0 Recycled boasts an array of access features. A zippered front panel provides full access to the interior of the pack. Large side pockets enable you to organize gear and grant quick and easy access to contents. Pass-throughs behind the pockets allow for hauling of longer items like tent poles or collapsed trekking poles. A large compartment in front of the main packbag features internal organization sleeves and a fleece-lined optics pocket. Between the Approach 3.0 Recycled's packbag and the front compartment, an expandable mesh stuff-it pocket serves as a spot to stow a jacket or loose gear. A smaller, zippered front pocket provides an additional organizational option.
Other features on the Approach 3.0 Recycled include cord-locked bungee attachment points and trekking pole attachment points. An internal lined pocket with dual exit ports makes the Approach 3.0 Recycled hydration compatible. Exterior, canted mesh pockets make it easy to grab water bottles while on the move.
The Mountainsmith Approach 3.0 Recycled backpack is available in your choice of Lotus Blue, Pinon Green and Aztec Red color options.
