The Mountain Hardwear Switch 20 Degree sleeping bag is a unique offering that includes a built-in expander. The 20 Degree temperature rating and mummy-cut ensure that you stay warm on three-season backpacking and camping trips. An integrated zipper allows the girth of the bag to increase by 8 inches for balmier nights or instances when you'd prefer to stretch out. The Switch 20 Degree is insulated with compressible, durable Thermolite Extra synthetic fill. Though still not as compressible as natural down fill, breathable and fast-drying Thermolite Extra, unlike down fill, is water-resistant and continues to provide warmth even when wet. This is particularly important if you'll be camping in wet weather or humid climates. The horizontal baffles of the Switch 20 Degree sleeping bag ensure that insulation is distributed evenly throughout the bag. This design aids in the elimination of cold spots and provides consistent comfort. An insulated, contoured hood helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. A two-piece, draw-string adjusted draft collar keeps your face warm, locks heat inside the Switch 20 Degree and prevents cold air from creeping inside. Enhancing comfort and warmth, Mountain Hardwear's patented Comfort Footbox creates ergonomic, insulated space for your feet. Mountain Hardwear's Quantum expander is a zipper system that cinches down tight to take best advantage of the Switch 20 Degree's mummy-cut. By eliminating cold spots and keeping the bag snug against your body, this design provides optimal thermal efficiency and keeps you as warm as possible. Depending on conditions, however, this design can feel a bit stuffy, especially if temperatures creep high above the temperature rating of the bag. The Switch 20 Degree's Quantum expander can be unzipped, revealing an additional 8 inches of insulated material running the full-length of the bag. This extra fabric provides a bit more room to stretch and allows you to sleep a little cooler on warm nights. The Mountain Hardwear Switch 20 Degree sleeping bag is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (fits to 6' 6") lengths and your choice of Left or Right zippers. Each Switch 20 Degree sleeping bag includes a nylon stuff sack.
