A true crag pack, the Mountain Hardwear Splitter is designed to cater to the particular needs of climbers. Durable construction, a pull-out tarp for gear cleaning and sorting and wide-opening front panel loading design make this pack extremely functional.
Ensuring stability and a proper fit, the Splitter’s suspension employs a full HDPE framesheet and an alloy perimeter shaping rod. The compression molded backpanel provides comfort, ventilation and sheds snow. Dual-density shoulder straps and a single-density waistbelt bolster stability while providing free range of motion. Load-lifter straps, a sternum strap and shoulder strap/waistbelt adjustability allow you to make fine-tunings to keep you comfortable.
Recognizing the importance of being able to obtain full access to your climbing gear, Mountain Hardwear has designed the Splitter to be able to split open and lie flat. The integrated pull-out tarp allows you to neatly sort protection and string your rig. Internal racking loops help to keep gear organized and an internal compression panel secures your rack and heavy rope. Zippered internal pockets are ideal for hauling shoes, a chalk bag, clothing and other gear. Stretch mesh side pockets offer external storage and a pack-length daisy chain provides gear lash points. A hanging, lined pocket with external access make the Splitter hydration system (sold separately) compatible.
Constructed of ultra-durable 630D HD Nylon, 1260D Cordura Ballistic Nylon and HardWear Tarp fabrics, the Mountain Hardwear Splitter is available in Reg (2150 cu in/16-19 torso fit range) and Large (2350 cu in/18.5+) sizes options.
