Designed for three-season backpacking or camping, the Mountain Hardwear Meridian 2 is a breathable shelter that utilizes a single-hub pole system for quick and easy set up. Trusted Mountain Hardwear construction equips the lightweight Meridian 2 for multi-season use in varied conditions. Clip construction makes it easy to connect the fabric body of the Meridian 2 to twin lightweight Atlas 7001 aluminum poles. Mountain Hardwear further ensures performance with its patented Guaranteed Watertight Construction. The fully-taped seams and welded construction of each model of Mountain Hardwear tent are tested in a custom-made "rain room" which subjects the tent to 1200 inches of wind-driven rain over the course of 24 hours. Snug for two, but cavernous for a single sleeper, the Meridian 2 offers 26.91 sq. ft. of interior space. Dual doors and vestibules increase livability by lending separate entries and providing a combined 21.5 sq. feet of additional sheltered space for storing gear or wet, muddy boots. With extensive usage of No-See-Um netting, the body of the Meridian 2 offers excellent ventilation, combating the build-up of condensation. Reflective highlights and guy out loops provide visibility for those times when you need to set up after dark. The 4 lb. 3 oz. packed weight of the Mountain Hardwear Meridian 2 is easily shared between two backpackers or campers. For faster, lighter travel in warm weather conditions, you can attach the compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) to the tent fly, eliminating the tent body, and reducing the packed weight of the Meridian 2 to 3.13 pounds!
