New for 2009! An excellent balance of size, weight and performance, the Mountain Hardwear Intention 65 Women’s internal frame pack is well-suited for extended backpacking trips. A supportive women’s specific suspension and an array of features equip the Intention 65 Women’s pack for backcountry adventure.

Ensuring stability and a proper fit, the suspension of the Intention 65 Women’s pack employs a full HDPE framesheet, a center stay and an alloy perimeter shaping rod. The torso length can be easily adjusted to provide the optimal shoulder strap position. A Fit-Lock waistbelt bolsters stability while providing free range of motion. Extensive padding throughout the backpanel and waistbelt helps to cushion your load. Load-lifter straps, a sternum strap and shoulder strap/waistbelt adjustability allow you to make on-trail fine-tunings to keep you comfortable.

The main packbag of the Intention 65 Women’s pack features top-loading access and a diagonal side zip also enables you to reach the interior of the packbag. In addition, the Intention 65 Women’s pack has a front-accessed sleeping bag compartment. A divider between the sleeping bag compartment and upper packbag can be removed when you prefer to convert the interior to a single large compartment. Side compression straps enable you to cinch down the pack, enhancing load transfer and ensuring that contents remain in place.

The lid of the Intention 65 Women’s pack has two integrated storage compartments and can be removed entirely when not needed or if you’re looking to shed weight. A large, detachable front compression pocket offers an additional storage space and, when removed, can be used as a streamlined day pack. A daisy chain on the exterior of the pocket provides numerous attachment points and an additional daisy chain on the main body of the Intention 65 Women’s pack grants the same functionality even when the pocket is detached.

Additional features found on the Intention 65 Women’s pack include an externally accessible hydration sleeve, removable sleeping pad straps and large stretch mesh side pockets.
