The classic, best-selling Mountain Hardwear Hammerhead 3 camping tent offers maximum ventilation and an array of livable features. Throw back the convertible roof panel to enjoy nights of stargazing or close the panels for full privacy and increased weather protection. Clip construction makes it easy to connect the fabric body of the Hammerhead 3 to the lightweight Atlas 7001 aluminum poles. Patented PowerClips are simple to use and increase overall strength by providing more secure connections at those points at which poles intersect. Mountain Hardwear further ensures performance with its Guaranteed Watertight Construction. The fully-taped seams and welded construction of each model of Mountain Hardwear tent are tested in a custom-made "rain room" which subjects the tent to 1200 inches of wind-driven rain over the course of 24 hours. Extremely roomy, the Hammerhead 3 offers nearly 46 sq. ft. of usable interior space. Vestibules in front of the dual doors provide nearly 20 combined sq. feet of additional sheltered space for storing gear or wet, muddy boots. The large canopy-style doors can be rolled back in fair weather to allow maximum airflow. Extensive sections of No-See-Um netting in the walls and ceiling of the Hammerhead 3 combat the build-up of condensation and offer maximum ventilation. A unique roof panel can be opened or closed, allowing you to choose between an airy mesh roof or an enclosed fabric ceiling. Reflective highlights and guy out loops provide visibility for those times when you need to set up after dark. The Mountain Hardwear Hammerhead 3 weighs 7 lb. 15 oz., making it more suitable for camping than backpacking. A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Hammerhead 3 against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water.
