New for 2009! A unique offering for 3-season bicycle-touring, the Mountain Hardwear Ghisallo 1 comes with its own built-in garage! The main tent body provides ample room for sleeping, a front vestibule offers a dry entryway and a rear vestibule safely houses your bike. The packed size of the Ghisallo 1 is even designed to fit in most panniers.

Mountain Hardwear's innovative construction lends freestanding structure to the Ghisallo 1. Lightweight Atlas 7001 UL aluminum poles provide weight-bearing strength and stability even in windy conditions. Mountain Hardwear further ensures performance with its patented Guaranteed Watertight Construction. The fully-taped seams and welded construction of each model of Mountain Hardwear tent are tested in a custom-made "rain room" which subjects the tent to 1200 inches of wind-driven rain over the course of 24 hours.

The Ghisallo 1's streamlined 17 square feet of usable interior space offers ample room for a single sleeper. A front vestibule helps to increase livability by providing 9.8 square feet of additional sheltered space for storing gear or wet shoes. Relying on the awning created by one of the two pole sections, a 12.4 square foot rear vestibule allows you to hideaway your bike, providing a measure of security and protection from the elements. Extensive mesh construction on the walls of the Ghisallo 1 offers maximum ventilation and combats the build-up of condensation. Reflective highlights and guy out loops provide visibility for those times when you need to set up after dark.

A custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Mountain Hardwear Ghisallo 1 against rocks, exposed roots, mud and ground water.
