The Fluid 12 day pack incorporates Mountain Hardwear’s unique, On-The-Fly compression system to let the wearer adjust the load stability while wearing the pack, reducing sway and keeping the pack’s center of gravity balanced while you’re moving quickly on rough trails or off trail. This adjustment can be done without stopping and doesn’t inhibit motion while running or scrambling. The HardWave framesheet keeps the back panel flat, providing a stable carry, but also can be removed completely to reduce pack weight. Ventilated, soft-edged shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap and a full wrap, breathable hipbelt offer tailored fit and comfort next to bare skin.
The Fluid 12 day pack has a hydration sleeve (hydration bladder not included) inside the main compartment with dual ports and a quick-access, fleece-lined zip pocket at the top of the pack for sunglasses or electronics. A bungee lattice system on the outside of the pack helps secure jackets or a second pair of running shoes while compressing the interior load. Stretchy mesh side pockets can stow a water bottle or extra gear, and two zip pockets on the hipbelt offer quick access to smaller items.
