Ruggedly constructed and equipped with an innovative suspension system, the Millet Atacama 42+ LD Women's internal frame backpack is ready for backcountry and high-altitude adventure. Despite its durable build and load-hauling capability, the 3175 cubic inch pack weighs just 2.5 pounds.
Millet's unique Bubble Claw Back system employs a thermoformed foam backpanel to provide ventilated, cushioned support. Internally, a lightweight aluminum V-frame stabilizes your load, transfers weight to your hips and serves as an anchor point for a swiveling, ergonomic waistbelt. Perforated foam shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap and integrated load-lifter straps further enhance fit.
A divider between the Atacama 42+ LD Women's pack's top-loading main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can detach the divider and convert the Atacama 42+ LD Women's pack to a single, large compartment. The main packbag has a standard capacity of 2565 cubic inches but, with the use of an integrated spindrift collar, capacity can be expanded to a full 3175 cubic inches. A large front stretch pocket and three zippered lid pockets provide further storage options.
Other special features found on the Atacama 42+ LD Women's pack include twin ice axe loops, side and bottom compression straps, shoulder strap hand rests a front bungee gear attachment system, side stretch pockets and a removable rain cover. A lined hydration sleeve in the main compartment and built-in drinking tube exit points make the Atacama 42+ LD Women's pack hydration system (sold separately) compatible.
