Product Highlights

Updated for 2014! Fully waterproof, breathable and durable enough for the trail, the Marmot Women’s PreCip Jacket is an excellent lightweight option for hikers and backpackers seeking reliable protection from wet or windy weather.

Offering full-featured 3-season protection, the durable Women’s PreCip Jacket keeps out rain and wind and offers maximum breathability. Marmot's NanoPro technology offers a waterproof/breathable coating that’s high performing and durable. It’s also comfortable with a smooth and silky feel against the skin that doesn't stick to your arms in warmer temperatures. This durable fabric can take the wear-and-tear of wearing a pack and offers drop shoulder seams to eliminate chafing. Pit zips and two mesh front pack pockets allow for increased ventilation. An adjustable hood with a stiffened brim lets you fine tune the fit when the weather gets nasty and rolls away into the collar when you don't need it.

Other features of the Women’s PreCip Jacket include a double storm flap over the front zipper, Velcro adjustable cuffs, an elastic draw cord hem and a DriClime lined chin guard for comfort. Marmot’s Angel-Wing movement reduces ride-up and allows freer arm movement. Last, the Women’s PreCip Jacket packs into one of the hand pockets for easy stowing when the weather is nice.

Available in a variety of size and color options, the Marmot Women’s PreCip Jacket offers a regular cut that layers well over light to medium weight fleece, sweaters or base layers.

    Likes: Lightweight.

Dislikes: I have an older women's medium PreCip jacket that fits great, so ordered the same size of the newer version. However, Marmot has resized the jacket and slimmed it down so it is now too small to layer under. Not sure why they mess around with a good product. I tried the large, and it is too big in the sleeves. I'm returning this jacket and I'm purchasing a different brand.
