Product Highlights
An array of features and a roomy, livable floor plan make the Marmot Swallow 2P an ideal choice for camping trips or backpacking trips when the need for comfort justifies carrying a little extra weight. Air-flow adjustability and zip-open ceiling panels lend the Swallow 2P versatility for use in varied seasons and conditions. Two large zippered mesh doors on the front of the Swallow 2P allow easy access to the 42 sq. ft. interior of the tent. A smaller rear door offers an alternate access point. The large vestibule provides a weatherproof entryway and an additional 19 sq. ft. of covered storage space. An optional gear loft (sold separately) clips into the ceiling of the Swallow 2P and serves as an out-of-the-way storage option. The unique, pre-bent "knees" of the Swallow 2P's DAC NSL aluminum poles pull the tent body taut, avoiding the creation of unusable corners frequently found inside less innovative tents and maximizing the livability of the interior of the Swallow 2P. Collapsible DAC NSL aluminum poles keep weight to a minimum while providing maximum strength and freestanding support. Ground-level side vents and zip-open ceiling panels allow air to circulate and keep condensation to a minimum. The weatherproof floor and rainfly combine to protect the interior of the Swallow 2P from the elements. In fairer weather, the rainfly can be tied open to increase cross-ventilation while still providing awning-style protection above the doors. Even in those instances when weather is uncooperative and leaves you stranded inside the Swallow 2P, Marmot's Window Weld design allows you to view the outside world. Employing integrated clips and sleeves, the body of the Swallow 2P attaches quickly, easily and securely to the poles. The freestanding design enables you to set up the tent and then move it around your chosen campsite to find the optimal rock-and-root-free position! A compatible, custom-fit footprint (sold separately) can be used to further protect the floor of the Marmot Swallow 2P from sharp objects, mud and ground water.
